Description:
The Summer School “Youth Combating Hate Speech” is a 5 day training course that aims at equipping young people aged 16 to 23 from all the regions in North Macedonia with knowledge, tools, and strategies on combating hate speech both online and offline and training them on social activism tools and methods in this specific area.
The school is part of the bigger project on Combating Hate Speech which will also include small local initiatives that will be planned and implemented by the participants of the school in their local settings.
The project is implemented by Liberal Alternative Institute (Tetovo) and is supported by the German Embassy in North Macedonia.
Eligibility:
To participate in the summer school you have to fulfill the following criteria:
– be between 16-23 youngsters from Macedonia
– have good knowledge of English language (the official language of the school)
– show interest in being socially engaged and active
– have a good idea for a possible local initiative on combating hate speech on a local level
– be prepared to participate in the follow up activities after the school ends
Costs:
Costs related to accommodation and food will be covered by the organizers, and transportation will be provided from Skopje to Struga.
